From January 1, 2019 to  December 31, 2019 SOLWODI Deutschland e.V. is project partner in the EU project INTAP - intersectional approaches in the integration process for survivors of human trafficking (sexual exploitation) from Nigeria and China, especially women and mothers.

Project coordinator is "Gemeinsam gegen Menschenhandel" (GGHM). SOLWODI Deutschland e.V. is looking forward to this two-year project with the European partners of GGMH (Germany), The Justice Projekt e.V. (Germany), Herzwerk Wien (Austria), Associazione Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII (Italy) and Simon Kolbe from the Catholic University of Eichstätt (Germany). For SOLWODI Deutschland e.V., the counselling centers Bad Kissingen, Munich and Regensburg as well as the SOLWODI programme deaprtement are involved in the project.

The aim of the project is to promote the psychological well-being and personal integration of Nigerian victims. Project measures include psychosocial work with Nigerian and Chinese victims of human trafficking on the one hand, and interviews with affected women and experts on best practices and emerging problems in integration, on the other hand. At the end of the project, these will be summarised in a handbook as recommendations for action. The project results will be presented in Karlsruhe on October 13, 2020. On the homepage https://intap-europe.eu/ you can find current information on the topic of human trafficking from Nigeria and China, working papers on the project and information on the final conference.

In this project, SOLWODI focuses on working with Nigerian mothers that are victims of human trafficking. In 2018 alone, 521 Nigerian women made contact with SOLWODI - representing one fifth of all initial contacts in 2019. A large number of Nigerian clients SOLWODI took care of are mothers. SOLWODI Deutschland e.V. considers the project to be particularly important, because clients in the INTAP project are offered targeted help and mothers are given a voice through the interviews.
